The photos montage is composed mainly with indoor shots of structural and architectural elements of the Georges-Vezina Sports Center, along with many of its different sport activities in action. At first glance over the sceneries, hockey goals, sticks and pucks, remind the well-known goalkeeper Vézina as much as recalling the importance of this sport in the history of the arena. Photos also witness intense emotion during performance, and show the high degree of concentration in individual exertion. Figures of supporters and takes of the terraces underline the contribution of the formers to the athletes’ effort of will. Given its abstract pictural composition as a whole, the work asks for close scrutiny to unveil its true nature, aiming to give a modern look to the Center, and shows in a mosaic outlet its large mission as a supplier of various sports and cultural events.
